Cowsills

If he had his druthers, the star of the "Lisbon Traviata" would love to rent out the Rainbow Room every year and throw a fete for his nearest and dearest. Instead, a small gathering of friends in his apartment - with a little champagne and the Cowsills on the stereo - will have to do. "I'm not very good with New Year's Eve," he says. "Last year, I got caught in traffic when midnight rolled around. I wished the cab driver, 'Happy New Year.' He said, 'Happy New Year. That'll be eight dollars.' And that was that."
