Billy Cowsill and Garry Comeau share the spotlight vocally with the pop group Blue Northern, which will give a concert at Beban Park June 12. Curtain time is 8 p.m. and tickets cost $8 in advance at usual booking outlets. The Nanaimo concert is part of an extensive B.C. tour by the pop group, which began its recording career with an independent release Can’t Make No Sense. This EP was one of the 10 most played Canadian songs in 1980 and won a PRO Canada songwriters’ award for this achievement. Other members of the group are Jim Wilson, Lindsay Mitchell, Barry Cowsill and Paul Burton.
