Cowsills

The Cowsills prove that family planning can pay off – in mass music, at least.

“We Can Fly” on the MGM label is the latest offering from his happy family of happy voices and electronic sounds.

Mother Cowsill and five of her brood are featured on the new album in such “happy folk” tunes as “Beautiful Beige” and “A Time for Remembrance” and “Gotta Get Away From It All.”

Two of the songs are heavy on drums and amplified guitars. All Their voices blend in a fresh – scrubbed sound that reminds one of the early “New Christy Minstrels.”

The Cowsill style lacks the sophistication of many current rock performers, but their spontaneous singing is infectious.
