Choreographers and dancers
from in and around the Ojai
Valley will come together to
perform in the third annual
dance festival. “Celebrate Dance
in Ojai,” on March 15 at 7 p.m. at
Matilija Auditorium.
Each year the dance festival
has had a community service
component and this year codirectors
Kim Hoj and Pamela
Lappen are proud to announce
all funds raised from this concert
will be awarded in the form of
scholarships for Ojai dancers
who will be pursuing dance at
the university-college level.
Gracing the stage and
supportive of the Ojai dance
scholarship benefit are veteran
local choreographers and
dancers: Nordhoff High School
dancers, Jeannie Carlson
dancers, Ojai Community
dancers, Stephen Bauer, Ojai
Tappers, Nordhoff High School
alumni and more. This year’s
“out-of-town” guest artists
include All American Ballet,
Ventura College dancers, and
Santa Barbara City College
dancers. More than 100
performers will dance on our
local stage.
The evening is guaranteed to
offer dance for everyone — from
ballet, modern, jazz,
contemporary, hip hop, tap,
tango, Mexican folk, and aerial
dance (yes, we have someone
flying in this concert!). This will
be a fun and festive evening of
dance to serve the Ojai
community.
Presale tickets are available
for purchase at Vesta, 242 E. Ojai
Ave.; tickets will be available at
the box office at 6 p.m. on the
day of the event. Ticket prices are
$10 for adults and $5 for
children, kindergarten through
12th grade. For more
information or to make a

Dance in Ojai” scholarship fund,
