THE COWSILLS
The Cowsills are, rightfully, best-known for its 1960s songs "The Rain, The Park and Other Things," "Indian Lake" and its biggest hit, "Hair."
But the singing family which was the inspiration for the 1970s TV series "The Partridge Family" continued making music well beyond its post-hippie run. Bill Cowsill became a hit in Canada as a solo artist, then as a member of the group Blue Shadows.
Susan Cowsill, the youngest, became a member of the all-star alt-pop group the Continental Drifters, and performed in a duo with The Bangles' Debbie Peterson called The Psycho Sisters. And John became the drummer for The Beach Boys.
These days, three of the six siblings are back together, playing those '60s songs and more.
