The Cowsills return to the Las Vegas Strip tonight when they open a two-week engagement in the main showroom of the Flamingo Hotel with chanteuse Kaye Stevens.
The Cowsills, a six-member family act with a truckload of singles and albums, made their big time nitery debut one year ago at the Flamingo.
Consisting of Barbara "Mama" Cowsill, her four teenage sons and her 10-year-old daughter Susan, the Cowsills first demanded national attention with their recording of "The Rain, the Park and Other Things."
They followed the initial hit with big sellers like "We Can Fly," "In Need of a Friend," "Indian Lake," and "Hair." They were also featured in appearances on television shows like the Jonathan Winters Show, Operation Entertainment, Hollywood Palace, Kraft Music Hall and the Ed Sullivan Show.
