Cowsills at Genghis Cohen

And for those whose tastes run more toward the '60s, tonight's Cowsills "acoustic reunion" show will not disappoint. It's more than just a "get together for some dough" show. I was lucky enough to catch the Cowsills on The Howard Stern Show about a month ago and I was enraptured by their charming personalities. Sure, you prob'ly just remember them for their amazing hit single version of "Hair" (its incredible vocals actually used to scare me when I was a kid), but these one-hit wonders have got some new songs, and that '60s, folk-style, politically/environmentally aware lyricism is still intact and more charming than ever in these "Let's-get-signed-so-we-can-get-a-big-advance-and-copy-whatever-style-of-music-is-going-to-make-us-the-most-money" days. So, even though this is a "Reunion Show," it's still fresher than just about anything else you could see in town this week. Really!
