Merle Benson
Passed away Tuesday November 20, 2001 after a brief illness in San Diego, CA. Born in Lincoln, New Hampshire on March 31, 1916, she was 85 years young.
Merle is survived by her son Walter L. Andrews, three grandchildren, Walter W. Andrews, Lou Ann Cowsill and Forrest B. Andrews. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Walter W. Andrews Jr., Hannah Andrews, Jessica Andrews, Shane Cowsill, Brendon Cowsill and one great-great grandson, Tyler Cowsill.
Gram was an LVN and worked in many military hospitals around the United States as well as a private nurse for a number of families.
Gram was interested in archaeology and traveled extensively to archaeological sites around the world making friends everywhere she went. She has visited Australia, Africa, South America, Egypt and as well as extensive trips to Mexico.
Gram will be sadly missed by her family and a large circle of friends.
Per her wishes there will not be any memorial services and her ashes will be scattered in her beloved Lincoln, New Hampshire.
