Those lively Cowsills, seen a few weeks ago on a Victory Varieties show at Purdue University, may be heard on record on “The Best of the Cowsills,” an MGM stereo album (SE-4597). The songs have been available on other Cowsills albums. Included on this disc are “The Rain, the Park and Other Things,“ “In Need of a Friend,” “We Can Fly,” “Indian Lake,” “A Time for Remembrance” and “Poor Baby.” They’re a lot of fun, and there’s some talent here too – not just rock ‘n’ roll.
