The Cowsills, who impressed Ed Sullivan so much that he signed them to a two-year contract in his Sunday TV shows, play a lot of songs made famous by other rock groups but also find room for some of their own material which registers much better. An all-family act (even mother is involved), the seven-member unit seems to be a bigger hit with older listeners than with the teen crowds.
