Bands Won't Play, They Claim Residents Toss Cold Water On Rock Festival Plans

A group of Browns Summit residents said Thursday that Lindsey Troxler's farm is not equipped to handle a rock music festival and that the bands he has suggested will play there will not.

Regarding the bands who were said to be scheduled, the statement said:
"Mr. Ed Rubin of International Famous Booking Agency, New York City, booking agent for the Cowsills and County Joe McDonald (both rock groups) says: 'Neither . . . will be in Browns Summit this weekend. The Cowsills are appearing in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. There is no longer a rock group called Country Joe and the Fish. There is Country Joe McDonald and he is in Chile, South America, making a movie.'
