The Cowsills, MGM Records’ singing-instrumental family group, have been signed by the Ed Sullivan Show to an exclusive television contract and will make a minimum of 10 appearances on the show. The Cowsills first appearance on the Sullivan Show will be on Sunday, Oct. 29. The four Cowsills singers, Bill, Bob, Barry and John, who range in age from 11 to 19, are often joined by their 8-year-old sister, Susan, and their mother, Barbara, in their performance. They will sing their hit MGM release, ‘The Rain, The Park and Other Things,’ on the Oct. 29 Ed Sullivan Show. Also appearing on the Sullivan Show that night will be Polly Bergen, comedian Myron Cohen, pianist Peter Nero, ventriloquist Senor Wences, comic Stu Gilliam and dancer Peter Gennaro.
