Good omens for Canadian country

(Speaking of the Canadian Country Music Awards) It seems absurd that some of our best male and female vocalists are not allowed to be nominated in vocalist categories, if they individual is part of a group or duo. The obvious examples are Russel de Carle of Prairie Oyster and Billy Cowsill of the Blue Shadows, who have the two purest male country voices in the land, next to Ian Tyson.
