The Uptown Folk Club celebrates its 10th anniversary tonight at Woodcroft Community Hall with performances by three popular Edmonton-area acts.
Bob Jahrig, Rob Heath and The Twisted Pickers will each play a set for patrons and club organizers, who should be commended for sticking to a mandate of promoting local and regional folk and roots music.
Over the years, the club has also presented concerts by Maria Dunn, Terry Morrison, Stewart MacDougall and the late Billy Cowsill, Karla Anderson, Paul Hann and Come On In My Kitchen, as well as monthly open stages.
