Some 6,000 night of lighting up the stage and firing up the sound system has resulted in hundreds of great shows at the original location of the Sidetrack Café. Here’s a list of just a dozen shows out of many that will be talked about for years to come.

8. Billy Cowsill: Pick a night. The late, great singer lit a fire under Sidetrack crowds as a member of Trainwreck, The Blue Shadows and The Co-Dependents. As good a singer as ever graced the ‘Track stage, Cowsill never disappointed. He could rattle off three Richter scale sets on a nightly basis and then throw out a four song encore for good measure.
