The Blazin' Invasion
March 20, 1993 Desert Sun Palm Springs, California
What's so hot? "A Blaze in the Sun" a concert coming to set the Mercury abaze in Palm Springs.
The trashathon features nine - count 'em nine - alternative bands from around the country
. . .
The Cowsills - yes those Cowsills - are making a return from the edge. Translation: The '60s.
They're the band that inspired the Partridge Family and are famed for such songs as "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" and "We Can Fly." Had a big commercial hit with "Hair" from the then-beloved and now-damned-silly Broadway show of waybackwhen. G'wan ask your parents.
They're doing the alternative-pop circuit these days. Are they still cute? Sorta. In an older, pudger kinda way.
