Anti-Drug Rally Runs Up Big Debt

GARLAND, Tex (UPI) - Sponsors of an anti-drug rally at Garland said Sunday the program, which was attended by 8,000 young people, lost $7,000.

The debt was eased somewhat when Paul Cowsill, leader of the Cowsills, a singing group who performed at the Saturday rally, returned $5,000 of a $10,000 guarantee the group was paid to perform.
