The Cowsills, a musical family often described as a new dimension in entertainment today, will appear in person at the Storrowton Theatre Tent for two performances on Saturday Sept. 13, according to G. W. Wynne, executive vice-president of the Eastern States Exposition. They will appear through the cooperation of the American Dairy Association.

"We are happy to have "The Cowsills" as one of our top-grade attractions during this year's 10-day fair, Sept 12-21," commented Wynne. "They are a family group who has made the big time singing together.

The Cowsills will give performances at 2 and 4 p.m. at the Storrowton Theatre Tent. It is the first time in three years that the fair has utilized the Theatre Tent for a special booking. The Cowsills also will participate in the Governors' Command Performance Saturday night at 7:30. They will join Anita Bryant, comedian Billy Kelly and singer Louie Roberts as headliners in the Coliseum show.

The Cowsill corporation reads as follows: Bob, Barry, Dick and John Cowsill - comprising the nucleus of the group. Their mini-mommy, Bartara Cowsill, who lends her voice to the boys' harmony whenever it is needed and wherever they might go. There is also a Cowsill baby, sweet and cute as can be - Susan Cowsill and Bud Cowsill, who, like any father would be, is stuck with the job of coordinating the conglomeration.

Mr. Cowsill, Mrs. Cowsill and all concerned live in a 22-room mansion on top of one of the few Newport, R.I. hills. The house remains as a symbol of their struggle in show business. Ivy is growing all over the walls of the house, windows are broken, screens are hanging.

Not too long ago, the Cowsills had their mortgage almost foreclosed and they and the house they loved so dearly were about to be separated forever.
