Barbara C. Cowsill
Tempe, Ariz. (AP) - Barbara C. Cowsill, 56, one of the members of the 1960s rock band the Cowsills, has died after a long illness. Cowsill teamed up with her daughter and five of her sons to form the singing group while the family was living in Middletown, R.I.
From 1967 to 1970, the Cowsills recorded several hit songs including “The Rain, the Park and Other Things,” “Indian Lake,” “We Can Fly” and a version of the title song for the rock musical “Hair.”
