In line with the picture’s emphasis on youth and the current trend in popular music, MGM signed the singing group, The Cowsills, to sing the title song “The Impossible Years,” screen version of the Broadway comedy hit.

The song was written by The Tokens.

Together with its stars, David Niven, Lola Albright, Chad Everett and Ozzie Nelson, “The Impossible Years” cast features a flock of teenagers, including 17-year-old Cristina Ferrare, making her motion picture debut in the role of Niven’s ultra-modern daughter.
