THE COWSILLS ARE A PERFORMING FAMILY
. . . to be in Corpus Christi for auto show in March

THE COWSILLS - Barbara, Bob, John, Paul, Barry and Susan - will appear at the first Caller-Times International Auto Show March 10-14.

The announcement was made by Jack Pagan, President of the Corpus Christi Franchised Automobile Dealers Association, co-sponsor of the show.

Since they rocked to fame in the recording business a few years ago, The Cowsills have become one of the most popular entertainer groups in the nation. And they have become frequent living room visitors in millions of American homes via the television commercial field.

The Cowsills as a family have several phenomena to their credit:
- They are numerous (nine of them).
- They are a family that sings, plays, stays together and still like one another,
- and, as a group, they have taken family singing and made it a top pop business.

SIX OF THE family actually perform on stage. Bob, John, Paul and Barry (the "boys"), Susan (who would rather be called Suebar) and Barbara (their singing mother) make up the "performing" Cowsills. However, there is another important member seldom seen on state. He is important not only because he is father and manager but also because he is the fellow who manipulates the dozens of knobs on their sound equipment. He is Bud Cowsill whose youthful appearance ___ a 20-year hitch in the Navy before going on the road with his talented brood.

The Caller-Times International Auto Show, featuring automobiles of every size and description from U.S. manufacturers and a wide variety of foreign and import models from Toyota, Datsun, Porche and Volkswagen as well as custom models antique and classic cars, hot rods and racers, will run for five days at the Memorial Coliseum.

The show will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. March 10-12; from noon till 11 p.m. March 13; and, from noon until 9 p.m. March 14.

Admission will be $1.50 for adults and 50 cents for children.
