The singing Cowsill Family reported today from New York that it's single recording "The Rain, the Park and Other Things," is the No. 1 best-seller in the nation.
Bill Cowsill, lead singer of the group, said the song written by him and his brother Bob had climbed to the top fo the music surveys of Record World and Cash Box Magazines.
"This weekend we'll be moving into a new recording studio to cut our next album and two singles, Bill said. "I think we can safely say that the two new songs ware even better than "Rain". We've got our little sister Susan singing with us now and her high voice really adds to the dimension of the sound."
Recording for MGM records the Cowsills will make their next nationwide television appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show Christmas Eve.
