Cowsill Brothers Concert Nets $500 For Scholars and Thank You Ad

The Middletown Dollars - for - Scholars committee has received $500 from a benefit concert given Saturday night by the Cowsill Brothers at Middletown High School.

The four brothers, sons of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Cowsill of 611 Indian Ave. Middletown played for two hours to a standing-room-only audience.

The brothers are Bill, 18; Bob, 16, and Barry, 11, playing guitar, and John, 10, on the drums. Their program featured folk tunes adn three songs composed by Bill and Bob.

The entire proceeds of the ticket sale went to the fund. The boys said they contributed their services "in appreciation for the supposrt and encouragement they have received from the school and from the community." The boys appear under their father's management. He and Mrs. Cowsill have four other children.

The student council of the high school handled arrangements from the concert. Donald S. Braman is chairman of the Dollars For Scholars committee.
