Cowsills
It is refreshing to report that a popular group sings a war song that doesn't not, while deploring war, protest with tears as big as baseballs, but accepts things as they are and tells a touching ballad about two lovers who have to part because of the "Cruel War."
That is one of the "Cowsills In Concert" numbers on MGM (SE-4619), and it is done with their familiar close but stringent harmonies and their full background of sound.
There are others in the dozen nearly as good: "The Sunshine of Yor Love," "Paperback Writer," "Hello, Hello," "Hair."
