SINGER Re: “Rock pioneer Billy Cowsill dead at 58,” Feb. 20.
Good job on the Billy Cowsill article. His influence on the local music scene is difficult ot overestimate.
I can remember him coming into my neighbourhood bar and sitting with his friends. The place would go dead silent as he sang in his beautiful voice. I once told him how my four older sisters kept my world awash with pop music during the 1960s. Rather than talk about himself, he spoke about the importance of mentorship. What a marvelous fellow with an amazing talent.
