Now totaling nine musicians, the group includes Love and Bruce Johnston, who came aboard in 1965 when Brian Wilson retired from touring. Some, like drummer Mike Kowalski, have been with the band for more than 30 years. John Cowsill, of the famed family pop group The Cowsills, sings on the five-part harmonies and plays percussion and keyboard.
