The Continental Drifters, Holsapple’s band, opened with a lively, too-short, poppy/roots-music-based set keyed by Susan Cowsill (yes, formerly of the Cowsills) and Vicki Peterson, formerly of the Bangles. The women also joined the Blowfish on vocal harmonies later in the evening, when music and spirit really jelled.
