Maine folk festival draws small crowds

A disputed folk and blue grass festival began in East Stoneham, Maine, last night after clearing legal and official obstacles only because opening night attendance as low.

State Police estimated only 2000 – 3000 persons were present as the four-day New England Folk and Blue Grass Festival opened with performers including Tom Winslow, Country Cookin’, Bill Cowsill and Bottle Hill.
