Monday – The first hour of the “Today” show (Ch. 4, 7 to 9 a.m.) will be devoted to the Cowsills, an amazing musical family who have reached Gold Record status and stand to earn $1 million this year with their recordings. There are seven children in the daily. Mom and five of the group perform, while two of the boys serve as stage manager and tour manager.

The Cowsills were introduced as a struggling musical family from Newport, R.I., in 1966. Now they are besieged with engagements, with Italy and London on the agenda this month. They have appeared on Ed Sulllivan’s show twice and have eight more appearances scheduled.
