There's something new in the world of folk-rock. The Cowsills, MGM Records' newest group, consists of a mother and four sons, whose ages range from 11 to 19. Their first album has only been in release for two weeks but already is heading for the top of the charts. Elke Sommer hosts a party for them at the Century Plaza next week, prior to their embarking on a 14-city tour.
