The Beach Boys are still 'Fun, Fun, Fun' in the rain

Mike Love is a force of nature. The man has led various incarnations of The Beach Boys for more than half a century and he still plays more than 170 shows a year.
Not bad for a 75-year-old.
And Bruce Johnston has been by his side for most of the last 51 years. He’s 73.
Not only do they blast through a couple dozen Beach Boys classics Thursday night in the first of two sold-out shows at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, they also dance in the rain toward the end of the show.

Some of the other band members also get a chance to take on lead vocal duties. Johnston sings lead on “You’re So Good To Me” while bassist Brian Eichenberger brings his dynamic voice to a cover of The Crystals song “Then I Kissed Her.” Most intriguing is drummer John’s Cowsill’s dramatic take on “California Dreamin’,” popularized by The Mamas & the Papas.
