OFF BASS: Debby Scott of Beverly, WCGY-FM jock, married singer Barry Cowsill, also of Beverly and The Cowsills Musical Family, Sunday at the Cowsills old Newport family mansion, Halloden Hall. It was ever so handy, having an old family mansion.
Debby’s dress matched the manse.
It was vintage blue lace and she found it and fell in love with it at an antique store in Newport.
The groom wore a white “Gatsby” suit and a vintage straw hat.
His brother, Bill, and sister, Sue, were the best man and maid of honor. And Justice of the Peace John McGann read the vows under an open-air canopy on the huge lawn.
After that, the whole musical Cowsill Family broke into song – their hits are “Hair” and “In the Park and Other Things” and jammed while everyone ate all the goodies that Debby, daughter Brandy, 10, and Sue cooked.
Their honeymoon will be a Cowsill tour to Calgary.
Oh, yes. She’s changing her name: not only at the altar but on the air. She’s now Debbie Cowsill.
