For those Anderson area youth who are tired of going to the same places for dating entertainment, we of "Youth Seen" will be giving a list periodically of special events going on at nearby college campuses. This week a portion of the Creative Arts Calendar of Ball State University is featured.
First on the agenda of student pop concerts at the Emens Auditorium will be The Cowsills, popular folk-rock recording group following the Ball State - Butler football game, Saturday, Sept. 27. Curtain time is 8 p.m.
The Cowsills - mom and dad, brothers Bob, Paul, John and Barry and sister Susan rocketed to fame in June, 1967, with their first album and recording six more. They have also done well on television, appearing on such shows as Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Dick Cavett, and several others.
This performance is the first of several pop shows sponsored by the Student Auditorium Advisory Committee composed of Ball State students. They use the profits from pop shows for the Ball State Student Foundation, an organization of students helping students, with the money going for scholarships and student loans.
