Several local clubs are inaugurating or stepping up presentation of live country music in Austin. Raymond Klingemann, who recently acquired the Old Stumble Inn in Oak Hill, plans live music every Friday and Saturday, has the Starlighters there this weekend.

The other two clubs are Southern Comfort, located on Barton Springs Road just west of Lamar, now under the guidance of Butch Deal, and the McNeil Depot, now owned by Billy Cowsill, formerly one of The Cowsills, who is assisted by Noelle McVeigh.
