McMahon 'Tonight' Personality Won't 'Stray From Well'

Ed McMahon said during a press conference Friday that he does not anticipate leaving the “Tonight Show” and he suppressed rumors that the show might move to California.

McMahon said he sees a new trend in television programs, more documentaries, appealing to those between the teen years and about 35 years of age.
“We are seeing more documentaries on such subjects as language and the changing church,” he said.
His mini-documentaries company is developing a show that will follow a group such as the Young Rascals or the Cowsills (mother and children band) around on the day of a performance.
