Comeback: In the late 1960s, the Cowsills were the quintessential American family, a sweet, pop rock group. By 1971, they had virtually vanished. Now they're coming back - both as a group and as a family. They played for the first time in 20 years in Boston earlier this month, in a surprisingly smooth, pollished set. They have a new manager and are shopping a record label.
