My English teacher said The Cowsills do the singing for the Partridge Family. Is this true?

Dear Sharon:
Your English teacher's wrong about this. The Cowsills do the singing for The Cowsills. David Cassidy and Shirley Jones sang on the first Partridge record and nobody tried to hide the fact that the other kids didn't. Since the show has started, though, Susan, Danny, Suzanne and Jeremy have begun to learn to play their instruments and do their own singing.
