According to their publicist, their fall schedule is not complete at this time as far as appearances are concerned; however, they will not appear regularly in a series. The Cowsills exploded onto the national scene in 1967 with an MGM album "The Cowsills" which contained the group's first million-seller single, "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things." Five of the seven children makes up the present group with mini-mom Barbara joining in on some recordings. Bob was born August 6, 1949 and started playing the guitar at the age of seven and performed with older brother, Bill, as a duo; Paul was born Nov. 11, 1952, and recently switched from backstage to performing, debuting at the piano on their million-seller "Hair;" Barry born Sept. 14, 1954 and started out on bongos and switched to bass guitar; John was born March 2, 1956 and was taught the drums by older brother Barry; Susan was born May 21, 1959 and had to do some fast-talking to get her brothers to accept her in the act. The family has recently moved from Newport, Rhode Island to a sprawling Spanish-style house in Santa Monica, Calif. Bill is now trying to make his mark as a solo entertainer and Dick is in the service.
