JOHN: I do a lot of dreaming - not only while I'm asleep, but also during the day! I have a very vivid imagination, so my dreams are always very thrilling! For example, the dream I have most often is that I am flying through the air like "superman" or "Mighty Mouse"! And believe me - that's some experience! There must be something about flying that turns me on, cos I get a thrill each time I take off in an airplane too!
Whenever I see a film, watch a TV show or read a book that's full of adventure and daring feats - I always pretend that I'm the "leading man" and that way I share all of the hero's thrills - as though they were really happening to me!
Another thing that sends shivers up and down my spine is watching scary movies, especially Christopher Lee flicks. And, needless to say, Dark Shadows is one of my favorite TV shows. Jonathan Frid is just too much - he's my kind of spook!
I don't always sit and fantasize, though. One of the most exciting things I've done recently is ride my mini-bike. I feel like I'm almost flying as I zoom along on this incredible miniature motorcycle! What a thrill! It's almost as great as the feeling I get when I play my drums and sing!
BARRY: I honestly feel that each new day is the most exciting experience! Maybe that's cos no two days are ever alike for me - and, in different ways, every day is thrilling!
Some days I can have a fantastic time without ever leaving my backyard! I love to swim, so I spend the entire afternoon in our pool and take advantage of the California sunshine! When I really feel like "nature boy," I set up my good old tent, and camp out for the night. Sometimes in the middle of the night it can be a little scary -- but that's what makes it more thrilling!
Other times, my mood calls for more activity -- so I organize a basketball game or go to a discotheque and dance the night away!
Then again, being a member of the Cowsills, I spend a lot of time on tour -- appearing in a different city each day. These days are filled with thrills galore! I can't explain the sensational feeling of being on stage, performing in front of a young, enthusiastic audience! And can you imagine how great it is to find crowds of people waiting to greet you - and then treating you like an old friend? That's gotta be the nicest thrill of all!
PAUL: I've always believed that the ages of 13 through 16 are the roughest years for a guy - since you are no longer a boy, yet you are not old enough to be considered a man. So the most thrilling day of my life was November 11, 1968 - my 17th birthday! This may sound silly to you, but it was a turning point in my life - cos after all the waiting, I finally grew up!
I still enjoy a lot of the same things I did as a kid - like going to the beach, football games, amusement parks or just getting together with a group of friends. But it's different now - and even more thrilling! What I mean is, I can share all these things with girls! You see, at one time (when I was going through the stage all boys do) I hoped girls wouldn't tag along. Now I can't think of a better way to spend my time than to share it with a groovy girl! Are you available?
BOB: I met a girl named Nancy Roberts in my French class at Hollywood College shortly after we Cowsills moved to California - and we've been dating ever since!
I'm getting married on June 24th of this year so meeting Nancy (my beautiful bride-to-be), falling in love with her, and planning our life together is by far my most thrilling experience!
It may be my wedding - but the rest of the Cowsills will be in the bridal party too! John and Barry will be ushers and I've asked Paul to be my best man. Susan (as you've probably guessed) is going to be our "junior" bridesmaid and she's so excited - you'd think she was getting married!
I'm so glad I can share my happiness with my wonderful family - and I promise to introduce Nancy to all of you real soon!
