There have been talks of the Cowsills doing a TV series, which we think would be a lot of fun.
After several months of wishin' and hopin' the Cowsills have been signed to do a TV series. Their show will be on the air in the fall of 1969, produced by Sullivan Productions.
We think the show will be a lot of fun, and we decided to ask the Cowsills about their upcoming TV adventures.
What would happen if.they did? "I'd probably get killed off in the first week," says Bob, who then adds: "The house in Newport would be a good location for it."
We doubt that the Cowsill family would need much of a script — they're quite zany enough already. For instance, we could watch Bill burning his dresser instead of just hearing about it. "You see, I was studying for exams — and it was cold. I mean, you need heat when you're studying. So I had to burn my dresser — the drawers first. Now, my clothes are on the bedpost. Oh yes, my guitar strings went, too. It looked like someone

threw a bale of wire in because they glowed in the heat."
We could watch a Cowsill attempt decorating his room. Barry, you see, wants to make his room look like a jungle, and that's going to take lots of work and imagination! "Viewers could write in with helpful hints to make it easierfor me," says Barry.
We could watch Paul, Bob and Dick play pool — they play a fantastic game! "We won a hi fi off

Dickie in a five game series," Paul says. "If he had won, he could have got this huge airplane that Bob and I have — like Snoopy and the Red Baron. Anyway, he lost."
Youngest member, Susan, would love to be on T.V. Only sometimes does she get shy; most of the time she loves being around people and entertaining them.
Would the Cowsills like to do a show like the Monkees? Not

according to Dick. "The Monkees and us are two different things. We hate it when people compare us to anybody. It's not even fair. Like the Monkees get compared to the Beatles — that's not right. Their show is their bag — it's great for them, but we want to project something else."
One thing we do know for sure.
For a cowsill series, there would
be no one star — the whole family
are stars. '
