They've drifted from L.A. to New Orleans, yet these are neither Jimmie Dale Gilmore's Continental Drifters, nor Joe Hall's Continental Drift, but a band from California featuring Peter Holesapple of the DB's, Mark Walton (who played bass in Dream Syndicate) and Steve Wynn's band, Vicki Peterson of Bangles fame, Carlo Nuccio (who drummed for Tori Amos) and Susan Cowsill of the Cowsills, who obviously learned to sing as well as her older brother Billy somewhere along the line. Almost everyone sings and doubles on acoustic guitar and newcomer Robert Mache adds some spicy leads. Formed because of a love of this kind of material, it shows, but the covers don't surpass the originals.
