Fans of The Blue Shadows, in particular Billy Cowsill, will remember his early beginnings in The Cowsills, the family band that was the blueprint for the commercially-oriented Partridge Family.
Now, three decades later, members of the group have reformed The Cowsills (sans Billy, the most musically successful singer/songwriter of the band).
The Cowsills have launched their own label and album, only available on the Internet at www.robinrecords.com
Apparently the group has been building a steady following among fans and industry insiders during the past half year.
In an on-line interview, Bob Cowsill said a string of label executives have downloaded song samples from the site and requested review copies, including Universal Records' senior director of top-40 radio.
Cowsill also maintains the label Robin Records, will look to sign other pop acts. Sounds like a scene you should make with your little ones.
