Two of the city's favourite live music venues, Tin Pan Alley and teh Southside Sugarbowl, are on hiatus from live music during the summer months of July and August. However, both are still running as licensed restaurants holding special events. s Friday at Tin Pan Alley is really special, as The Co-Dependents come up from Calgary for a rare club appearance. This Calgarian roots music supergroup features Billy Cowsill on vocals and acoustic guitar. Cowsill is still known as the guy from the Cowsill Family that sung the hit Hair, and as The Blue Shadows co-founder. The band also has Steve Pineo. on vocals and acoustic and electric guitars. His fabulous solo album, Perfectly Good Friendship, has won awards and rightfully so - Music fans will also know Tim Leacock on bass and vocals and Ross Watson on drums from bands like the Burners, Beautiful Joe, Tariq and National Dust.
