Cowsills

John's not even fifteen, but he has a pretty good idea of his dream girl.

The youngest of the Cowsill boys, John (he's pushing fifteen) is relatively new to the business of dreaming about girls, but he has a pretty good idea of the type of girl who has what it take to turn him on.

Although he's never actually been on a date, John has been to a lot of parties and he's had more than his fair share of crushes.

Being somewhat shy himself, he digs shy girls - as long as they're not too shy to be warm and friendly. The ideal girl for him, the type of girl he dreams about, has a good sense of humor, too. She must be able to enjoy a good joke once in a while. John is something of a jokester, he has to have fun. So it's important for the girl he's with to have a good time as well.

His idea of a good time includes horror movies, the zoo (he loves animals) and amusement parks such as Disneyland.

John dreams of "groovy-looking girls," but that alone, he recognizes, isn't enough if the girl doesn't have the other qualities he's looking for.

The trouble with Barry is that he has too many girls to dream about.

Barry Cowsill's discovery of girls is the greatest thing that's happened to him since cream cheese and jelly sandwiches. He completely digs the opposite sex and he's not ashamed to admit it.

The trouble is, he digs too many of them. Says Barry, "Every girl has something special about her."

This makes it a little difficult for Barry to focus in on a clear picture of his dream girl. Ask him to describe the girl of his dreams and he's likely to give you seven different discriptions in a single week.

However, his dream girls do have one thing in common: an appreciation of him as a person not just as a celebrity. This is not to say that Barry wouldn't date a fan. He would and he has. But the girls he's dated and the girls he dream about dig him for what he is: one very groovy guy.

Until he meets the girl (and all indications are that it won't happen for a long time), Barry Cowsill will have a different leading lady for his dreams just about every night. Except for movie Technicolor, what more could a guy want from his dreams?

It doesn't take as much as you think to qualify as one of Paul's DG's.

Can you keep a secret? Keep this one: the casting director for Paul Cowsill's dreams is a push-over!

You don't have to be the most beautiful creature who ever lived in order to be among Paul's dream girls. You don't have to be the smartest either. Or the best dressed. You don't even have to know how to play the piano. All you have to do is be yourself.

Nothing turns him on more than a natural girl; a girl who is herself at all times. This is no room in Paul's dreams for a girl who tries to impress him by being someone she's not.

But there is room for you. The next time you see Paul in concert - or just walking down the street - don't make the mistake of trying to snow him by putting on a false act. It'll leave him cold. You're much better off charming him. And the only way to charm this guy is to be yourself.

You have a better chance at being one of his dream girl celebrities than you think you do.

Sorry, Bob-lovers, the balloting is over in this dream girl campaign.

Bob was the first of the Cowsill brothers to turn his dream into a reality.

In his French class at Hollywood College, he met a girl named Nanci Roberts. From the moment he was the blue-eyed blond, Bob erased the memory of every other girl he ever dreamed about. If he was the type of guy who kept a roster of dream-girls in a little black book, he would have burned it on the spot. But having no black book to burn, he saved his fingers the danger of first degree burns.

Soon after they met, Bob asked her out. Soon after that, he asked her to go steady. And it wasn't long after that when he popped the Big Question. Nanci said yes all three times and they wer emarried last June (the details of the wedding were reported in the last issue of Screen Scene).

Bob & Nanci Cowsill make their home in Santa Monica (California) and they're rarely separated from each other's company. Even when the group is on the road, Nanci goes with her husband.

Now in the process of living happily ever after, Mr. and Mrs. Cowsill turned their dream into a dream come true.
