Sullivan Contract
For Cowsills
The Cowsills, MGM Records'
singing - instrumental family
group, have been signed by
"The Ed Sullivan Show" to an
exclusive television contract
and will make a minimum of 10
appearances on the show, it
was announced by Bob Precht,
producer of the Sullivan show.
The Cowsills' first appearance
on the Sullivan show will be
on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Involved in the negotiations
which worked out the TV contract
with Sullivan Productions
were Leonard Stogel, personal
manager of the Cowsills, and
Bobby Brenner of Ashley-Famous
Agency, representatives
of the Cowsills. Mort Nasatir,
President of MGM Records,
personally signed the Cowsills
to the record company and has
been closely connected with
their career.
