Fox Exits MGM For Own Firm
Clive Fox, West Coast Operations
Director for MGM/Verve
Records, has resigned to form
his own independent production
company, Shaggy Dog Productions.
Fox spent six years with
MGM serving in promotional
and sales capacities on the
West Coast. He has participated
in the development of
many groups, the most current
of which has been the Cowsills.
Fox opened the Coast office
in 1965 to enhance the coordination
between the West
Coast and the East Coast. The
office operated as a sales, promotion
and artist development
arm of the main office based in
New York. Fox' plans with
Shaggy Dog Productions will
be announced shortly.

Stogel Signs Cowsill As Producer, Writer
Leonard Stogel and Associates,
personal manager of the
Coswills, has signed Bill Cow -
sill to an exclusive producing
and writing contract.
Cowsill will produce for top
40 groups, in addition to writing
for various groups in and
out of stogel's stable. He will
also write special material.
Cowsill will work through
Gregg Yale, Inc., and Akbestal
Music, Inc.
Bill Cowsill, at 21, has been
singing with the group since
he was 15. His most recent
credit as a producer was in co -
producing the number one
record, "Hair."
