Heroic Age's 1st Birthday
NEW YORK - April 5 will
mark the first anniversary of
Heroic Age Publicity, Inc., established
to provide press representation
for acts under the
management of Leonard Stogel
and Associates Ltd.
Its offices opened with five
clients: Tommy James and the
Shondells, Sam the Sham and
the Pharaohs, Keith, the Royal
Guardsmen and the Royalettes.
The Cowsills were added to
Heroic Age's client list in July
of '67. Heroic Age, in conjunction
with MGM, helped plan
and organize the first promotional
tour for the Cowsills
from Sept. 12 -Oct. 14. HAPI
then inked Len Barry, Sandy
Posey and Jim and Jean.
Janis Murray, HAPI's Publicity
Director, and Doris Goldstein,
her associate, believe
that the key to the success of
HAPI in the past year lies in
the fact that each client is
treated as a special project.
Heroic Age is currently negotiating
plans for the opening
of new West Coast offices, expected
by August '68.
Miss Murray will fly to London
April 15 to negotiate for
London offices, too.
