London Lowdown

James and Bobby Purify fly into London tomorrow for a series of promotion spots on their new single, "Do Unto Me" .. . Best entertainment recently has been the Cowsills. MGM hosted a reception for them at the London night spot Hatchetts. Their 20 -minute performance ended with their latest release, "We Can Fly." The audience loved them.


Producer Herb Bernstein Excited About 13 -Year -Old Protégée

The modest self-confidence of Bernstein's is immediately impressive; and so is his credit sheet especially for a scant two productive years ("I tried to get into the business a few times before, but I wasn't ready, I guess"). Right now, the Happenings' "Music Music Music" is a Bernstein arrangement. And "I Need a Friend," which is shaping up as the next Cowsills single, is one of the many arrangements Bernstein did for the new Cowsills album.
