Recently, a number one single called "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things" hurled a Rhode Island family of nine into the limelight. If current enthusiasm is correct, The Cowsills (MGM Records) may indeed add new dimensions to today's entertainment.
The Cowsill-corporation consists of: Bill, Bob, Barry, and John Cowsill - comprising the nucleus of their sound - plus Barbara (the mother of the clan), and road managers Dick, and Paul "Papa" Cowsill.
After spending al their available cash for instruments, sound-systems and amplifiers, The Cowsills were close to bankruptcy when luck introduced them to producer-writer Artie Kornfeld, who in turn introduced them to Lenny Stogel and MGM records. After that the rest was a breeze. In the space of a few short weeks, The Cowsills became "hot property" for the entire music industry!
