Cowsills' $1-Mil Amer. Dairy Deal

The Cowsills have signed a four-year contract with the American Dairy Council tht could amount to as much as $1,000,000 a considerable jump for the for the family group who a year ago needed the income from Cowsills' Navy pension and Mrs. Cowsills' waitress wages to supplement their earnings as entertainers.

The Dairy Council deal will include tv and radio commercials, print campains and personal appearances. Deal involves step options and total coin will reach $1,000,000 if all the pieces fall into place.

The family group numbers seven children from Susan, 8, through Bill, 20. One son, Dick, 18, recently joined the Army.

Group also has signed to do an NBC-TV spec of their own next season and will appear on ABC-TV's "Hollywood Palace."

With most of the kids still in school, concert tours are primarily confined to summers and winter vacations. The Cowsills completed a five-day stand at Disneyland during las week's Easter vaation and have a cross-country tour, from Hawaii to Massachusetts, lined up for this summer.

The Cowsills' third album and fourth single will be etched by MGM Records within the next two months.
